The Origin
of Change

We transform palm-industry residues into high-performance, sustainable materials. Palllm® Boards stand for innovation, circular economy, and zero-waste production — created to rethink how we build and manufacture.

What is Palllm®?

Palllm® is an innovative company based in Bavaria, Germany, emerging from many years of experience in the wood industry and extensive research.
Our team operates a technical center and a fully functional production facility for fiber-composite materials made from palm residues and comparable natural fibers.

With our patented process, we convert previously unused agricultural by-products and food-industry side streams into high-quality, sustainable materials. Depending on the region, our raw materials come from oil palms, coconut palms, or date palms.

Our geographical focus includes:

Southeast Asia

Latin America

MENA region

Palllm® offers contract manufacturing for customized products as well as the design and delivery of complete production lines for global industrial partners.

Research and Development

Throughout the development of fiber-composite materials from palm residues, we have gained valuable technical and material expertise. Our fully integrated pilot and research facility in Haag, Germany, forms the foundation of our innovation work.

In close cooperation with plant engineers and binder manufacturers, we have developed, tested, and continually optimized our processes. The facility has been expanded step by step since 2021 and now forms the core of our R&D activities.

The Pilot Plant

Covering approx. 5,000 m² of production space, the pilot plant reaches an annual capacity of around 7,500 tons.

It includes the entire process chain — fiber preparation, resin application, drying, dosing, high-pressure pressing, energy systems, and filtration — fully designed for industrial-scale continuous production.

Additional equipment is available for material refinement. Around 400 tons of raw materials from various regions (Southeast Asia, MENA, Latin America) are constantly on hand to test formulations and processes under real conditions.

Bio-Based Production & Applications

A major focus is the transition to 100% bio-based binders. By adapting processes originally designed for chemical binders (formaldehyde-based), we successfully converted our production to fully bio-based operation — without compromising quality or performance.

The plant also supports pre-series production for market introduction and optimization of future large-scale factories. It is used to train personnel and simulate industrial operations. An additional technical center enables laboratory-scale product development — the ideal step before pilot-scale production.

Strong Partners, Secure Patents

Our Partners

Rottal Hanf

Together with Rottal Hanf GmbH, we contribute to an emerging regional ecosystem for alternative bio-based materials. The start-up processes the hemp plant 100% — from fibers to shives to circular applications — and helps lay the foundation for an innovation cluster that strengthens both regional industries and global markets.

BASF R&D Lab

Palllm® cooperates closely with the BASF R&D Lab on material and process development. This includes simulations, material testing, and validation of production methods — an essential step toward market maturity.

HNEE

Our collaboration with the University for Sustainable Development Eberswalde (HNEE) brings scientific expertise in material testing and sustainability assessment into our development work.

Our Patents

EP3837098

Our European patent protects the process and technology for producing high-performance boards from palm residues — securing our innovation within Europe.
The international PCT filing extends this protection globally, building trust among partners, investors, and licensees.

PCT/EP2019/077072

With the international PCT application, Palllm®’s technology is protected worldwide. The Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) ensures global applicability and builds trust with partners, investors, and licensees.

GreenTec Award 2015

Excellence in Sustainable Innovation

Our scientific team received the prestigious GreenTec Award 2015 for the development of OrganicFoam. This recognition highlights our leadership in sustainable material innovation — forming the technological foundation for today’s Palllm® Boards.

Mission & Vision

What fades today builds the world of tomorrow.

We transform palm residues into high-performance, sustainable materials. Palllm® Boards offer a true alternative to wood and concrete — resource-efficient, low-emission, and fully circular. Our goal is to elevate the building and furniture industries to a new sustainable standard, combining ecological and economic benefits.

Zero Waste

100% material utilization, no waste.

CO₂-Reduction
